EAST LANSING - Thomas Ebbing’s goal 3:09 into overtime gave the Michigan State hockey team a 3-2 victory over the U.S. National Team Development Program U-18 Team in an exhibition game on Saturday afternoon at Munn Ice Arena. Spartan goaltender and USNTDP alum Ed Minney made 36 saves, while Mackenzie MacEachern and JT Stenglein also scored for MSU.
“It was nice to find a way to win,” said MSU head coach Tom Anastos. “That’s a good team with a lot of talent; there was a good pace out there.
