EAST LANSING - The Michigan State hockey program will honor the late Ron Mason this season with an emblem of his initials both on the ice and on the team helmets, MSU Director of Athletics Mark Hollis announced on Wednesday (Oct. 5). The Spartans will wear green and white “RM” stickers on the backs of their helmets, while Mason’s initials will also be painted on the ice behind both nets at Munn Ice Arena to honor the legendary coach throughout the 2016-17.
