BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan State hockey team got its second sweep of the season with a 3-1 victory over Ferris State on Saturday night at Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids. Brennan Sanford, Mitchell Lewandowski and Carson Gatt scored for the Spartans, who improved to 7-5 on the season.
“I thought the guys did a good job,” MSU head coach Danton Cole said. “We knew there was going to be a lot of energy on the other side – they’re coming home after a tight game last night and they had some momentum even though we won in overtime.
