COLUMBUS, Ohio – Maybe now the rest of the country will believe in the Michigan State football team.
Maybe now the doubters and naysayers will be compelled to reassess their evaluations of the No. 9-ranked Spartans in the wake of their dominating win over No. 2 Ohio State by the misleading score of 17-14 under miserably cold, wet and blustery conditions before an Ohio Stadium-record crowd of 108,975.
Maybe now they’ll finally get that this is more than a curiously capable team that wins a fair share of big games under ninth-year head coach Mark Dantonio; that it’s a program built to withstand the loss of a player as important as Connor Cook.
