EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State hockey team got its first action of the 2016-17 season on Sunday as the Spartans tied the University of Toronto, 2-2, in an exhibition game at Munn Ice Arena. Mason Appleton and Patrick Khodorenko scored for the Spartans.
“It was nice to be out there playing,” MSU head coach Tom Anastos said. “We talked today about going out and working on our habits and it was nice for some guys to be able to gain some experience. Lots of guys got opportunities and we had two goaltenders play.
