Friday night's showdown did not start out as planned for Dearborn Divine Child quarterback Theo Day. In fact, it did not start out right for the entire Falcons football program.
Down 14-0 after Detroit U-D Jesuit scored two touchdowns on just four plays of offense, Day was hoping to get some momentum going for his team. After going 12 plays from Divine Child’s own 18 to the Jesuit 28, Day tossed an interception. A bad one.
"Yeah, you know, that was terrible," Day admitted. "I can't be doing that, we were driving. I just knew I had to get back out there and I had to lead them on another drive.
