EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State football team held its first practice of preseason camp on Thursday at the John and Becky Duffey Practice Fields. Under partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low-80s, the Spartans practiced for two-and-a-half hours in helmets, jerseys and shorts.
Following practice, 12th-year MSU head coach Mark Dantonio addressed the media to talk about the first day and the mindset of the team heading into the season.
“It was a good first day,” said Dantonio. “I think it is the 12th year now doing this and I think everybody in America has a lot of optimism on the first day.
