EAST LANSING, Mich. – Under cloudy skies and temperatures in the high-60s, the Michigan State football team officially began the 2015 season with its first practice on Saturday, Aug. 8. The Spartans worked out for two-and-a-half hours in helmets, jerseys and shorts on the practice fields behind the Duffy Daugherty Building.
Following practice, ninth-year MSU head coach Mark Dantonio addressed the media to talk about the first day and what he saw from the mindset of his team.
“It was a typical first day in shorts practice,” said Dantonio. “There was a lot of movement out there, a lot of drills, and I think just the guys getting their feet back underneath them and learning how to play fast again.
