Spartans in the Stanley Cup Playoffs

EAST LANSING - The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin April 13 and four Spartans are in the hunt for the sport’s ultimate prize. In total, 10 Spartans played in the National Hockey League in 2015-16, with Justin Abdelkader and Drew Miller (currently injured) of Detroit, Duncan Keith of Chicago and Shawn Horcoff of Anaheim all getting the opportunity to now compete for the Stanley Cup.

Michigan State has had a Stanley Cup winner in seven of the last 10 seasons. Duncan Keith became the first Spartan to win three Stanley Cups as he won the Conn Smythe Trophy in leading the Chicago Blackhawks to the title last season.
