EAST LANSING, Mich. – Connor Cook and Shilique Calhoun could have been suiting up for their NFL debuts today for who knows what team in who knows what city.
Instead, they woke up in a place they’ve called home for five years to a feeling better than a paycheck.
When Cook and Calhoun decided to return for their senior seasons at Michigan State, it was for a chance to finish what they started as freshmen and be a part of something bigger than themselves.
