EAST LANSING - The Michigan State hockey team dropped the opening game of a weekend series with No. 8 Ohio State, 4-1, on Friday night at Munn Ice Arena. Ohio State used two goals early in the first and then two more in the opening 32 seconds of the middle period to top the Spartans.
“Ohio State is a good, talented team that played fast and did a lot of things right out there,” MSU head coach Danton Cole said. “I thought in the first period we were pretty average and didn’t start well in the second.
