The oddsmakers say Michigan State is the underdog in Saturday’s matchup against Michigan.
The Spartans beg to differ.
Most betting lines opened with No. 12 Michigan as a four-point favorite, and those have grown the last couple days. And while No. 7 Michigan State has been favored more often than not the last several years, it doesn’t put too much stock into the odds out of Las Vegas.
“I think you’re only underdogs if you think you’re underdogs,” coach Mark Dantonio said. “It’s what you think about things; it’s not what, quite frankly, (the media) write about things.
