EAST LANSING - Spartan Stadium and Jenison Fieldhouse are getting upgrades thanks to unanimous support from trustees at Michigan State University.
The addition of a new one-story building onto the south end of Spartan Stadium will be the first of the two projects to be completed, said Greg Ianni, deputy athletic director at MSU. Renovations will add new restrooms accessible to visitors . New concession stands and plaza space will also be added with the addition.
The addition is expected to be completed by fall 2017, Ianni said. Current cost estimates aren't available, he added, though funds will come from the athletics department.
