EAST LANSING – Tom Izzo felt the frustration Friday night that Mark Dantonio has experienced all fall.
Izzo’s young Spartans watched an early lead vanish, much like Dantonio’s young team has in almost every game this season. Izzo’s group faded late and suffered a two-point loss against Arizona on a last-ditch layup, similar to how Dantonio’s bunch has struggled to finish off opponents in the second half.
“This is going to be an incredible learning thing,” Izzo told reporters after the ninth-ranked Spartans’ 65-63 loss to No. 11 Arizona in Hawaii. “But you’ve got to learn how to win, too.
