No. 11 Michigan State dominated No. 17 UCLA in the Las Vegas Invitational on Thursday, and the Spartans face Texas on Friday for the title. Chris Solari, Detroit Free Press
LAS VEGAS – In a four-minute burst, Michigan State staggered UCLA.
In the next nine minutes, the Spartans knocked out the Bruins.
And then came halftime.
No. 11 MSU looked and played like a veteran team – hitting 3-pointers, running the court, moving the ball, rebounding hard, playing defense and executing a game plan to perfection.
The Spartans hit 10 first-half 3-pointers and built as much as a 29-point lead before intermission.
