Michigan State interim President Satish Udpa apologizes to Nassar victims Matthew Dae Smith, Lansing State Journal
Settlement talks between Michigan State University and plaintiffs in 55 sex abuse cases tied to pedophile doctor Larry Nassar have ended without an agreement being reached, according to federal court records.
The cases are part of the 160-plus complaints filed as part of a second wave of lawsuits against MSU in the spring and summer of 2018, following the settlement of the original Nassar-related cases.
"The Wave 2 settlement discussions are continuing to move forward, and these filings are just one step in the process regarding the overall mediation," MSU spokeswoman Emily Guerrant said.
