Weston Bridges knew the diagnosis before he received it.
Torn ACL, season over. And the second time around, Bridges questioned whether his career was finished before he ever played a snap in college. The Michigan State running back had his love for the game tested, then pushed back.
"I just stuck with it," Bridges, a redshirt freshman, recalled Tuesday afternoon after practice. "I had the right people around me, people still believing in me, and I had to believe in myself at the end of the day.
