EAST LANSING, Mich. – After her record-setting performance at the Landfall Tradition, sophomore Sarah Burnham has been named the Golfweek National Player of the Week and the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Burnham claimed medalist honors for the first time in her collegiate career at the prestigious 18-team tournament last weekend with a career-low 5-under-par 211, which tied for the fourth-lowest score in school history. She matched her single-round school record with a 66 in Sunday’s final round after carding a 71 on Friday and a 74 on Saturday.
