EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State fifth-year senior safety RJ Williamson has been selected by the Football Writers Association of America as the AutoNation National Defensive Player of the Week.

Williamson recorded five tackles, returned a fumble 64 yards for a touchdown and intercepted a pass in the red zone in No. 4 Michigan State’s 35-21 win over Air Force on Sept. 19.
