East Lansing – If Michigan State’s defense needed an emotional lift, it surely got one Saturday when safety Xavier Henderson and defensive tackle Jacob Slade were back on the field.
For Henderson, it was the first time playing since the fifth-year senior suffered a knee injury in the season-opener against Western Michigan. Slade, another fifth-year senior, had been out since getting hurt in week two against Akron.
