GRAPEVINE, Texas — Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook said the three weeks of rest he has had for his sprained shoulder "did everything," in terms of aiding in the healing process.
"When you have an injury, you can rehab and do whatever, but rest is key, and I was able to do that," Cook said. "I didn't really throw a lot. Did some extra rehab stuff, lifted a little bit, strengthened it and rested it, and it's the best it has felt so far, that's for sure."
The Spartans' fifth-year senior quarterback has been vital to Michigan State's rise to national championship contender over the past three seasons, running up a 34-4 record as a starter.
