Former Michigan State basketball player Keith Appling is expected to serve one year in Wayne County Jail.
According to the Associated Press, Appling pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon and resisting police charges on Monday. The plea was accepted in Wayne County Circuit Court.
The AP reported: "Prosecutors say it includes a sentence agreement of five years' probation with the first year being served in the Wayne County Jail. The agreement does not include early release. Sentencing will be held Aug. 3."
Appling, 25, is a Detroit native and a product of Pershing High School and Michigan State.
