EAST LANSING -- Delton Williams remains suspended from Michigan State football team, but the man who turned in him to police for waving a firearm has written a letter saying he doesn't want him thrown out of school, according to a Free Press report.
Williams, who faces a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a weapon in public according to online records from East Lansing's 54-B District court, had a permit for the gun.
Williams was scheduled for a pretrial hearing on Wednesday but documents reflect that it has been postponed until April 29.
The police report on the March 16 incident indicates Williams' turned left in front of the alleged victim's car at a stoplight, and was then honked at.
