MINNEAPOLIS — Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo is in his eighth Final Four and admits he was spoiled by going to three in a row at the beginning of the millennium. One other thing he has learned over two decades: “It’s not just about being good.” He referenced some of his better teams — 2016’s No. 2 seed that lost to Middle Tennessee in the first round, for instance — that failed to “sniff a Final Four.
