EAST LANSING – Tyler O’Connor’s frustration is a rare sight.
But Michigan State’s senior quarterback admitted there was a moment this summer when he lost it.
On the practice fields behind the Michigan State football building, the Spartans’ summer bonding centered around multiple sports.
Wednesday nights were about softball, volleyball and kickball and, like in football, O’Connor lived for victory.
He called it a “fun thing” for every week. Until it wasn’t.
“We got beat with a walk-off home run in softball,” he said last week, grinning. “I didn’t handle that well, I don’t think.
