Imagine losing one week after your biggest win of the season and the team that beat you handled your high-powered offense with relative ease. Then imagine taking a jab at that team, stating they aren’t as good as the team you’re about to face.
That exact situation has unfolded after Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm took a not-so-subtle jab at Michigan State on Monday afternoon.
During his weekly press conference, Brohm was asked about his team’s upcoming matchup with Iowa, fresh off a loss to Michigan State, and he had this to say, per Saturday Tradition and Mike DeFabo on Twitter (who since deleted the tweet with the quote):
“Iowa is a better football team than Michigan State,” Brohm said when asked about the Hawkeyes.
