Michigan State’s 27-point victory, 92-65 , marked the second-consecutive game the Spartans have outscored an opponent by 25 points or more. It is was first time since Feb. 4, 2009, and Feb. 7, 2009, against Minnesota and Iowa that MSU outscored back-to-back Big Ten foes by at least 25 points.
The 27-point margin was MSU’s largest Big Ten road win since downing Penn State, 91-64, on Jan. 20, 2007. The last 27-point win in conference play for the Spartans came when they beat Nebraska by 28 points, 62-34, on Feb. 25, 2012.
Sunday’s 92-65 victory was the 41st time Michigan State has outscored a Big Ten opponent by 20 or more points under Tom Izzo.
