KALAMAZOO, MI - In a field littered with professional and collegiate golfers, it was the steady play of a 16-year-old and his Michigan State University teammate that took home the top prize Sunday at the 2018 Kalamazoo Country Club Invitational.
Portage Central junior Will Anderson and MSU junior Kaleb Johnson defeated Portage's A.J. Todd and pro golfer Max Kollin 3 and 2 to claim first place in the 65th installment of the match-play tournament.
Johnson sank a three-foot par putt on Hole No. 16 to seal the win in his third appearance in the KCC Invitational, all of which have come with Anderson as his partner.
