Chase Kline, a three-star linebacker from Chardon (Ohio) High, committed to Michigan State’s 2018 recruiting class on Tuesday.
Kline (6-3, 221 pounds), who made 122 tackles as a junior last season, is ranked the No. 38 inside linebacker in the nation by Scout.com.
“With the build he is right now, he could be a middle linebacker or a walk-up defensive end, no one totally knows, but no one really cares because he could be great at either spot he lands in,” Chardon head coach Mitch Hewitt told Scout’s Spartan Nation.
Kline picked the Spartans over offers from Minnesota, Iowa State, Boston College, Purdue and more.
