Oak Park quarterback Dwan Mathis made the toughest decision of his life Sunday afternoon when he flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Ohio State.
According to Terence Mathis, his father, Dwan gained permission from the Michigan State staff to visit OSU. The family was blown away by coach Urban Meyer and his staff, and the dual-threat quarterbacks the program has developed over the years: Terrelle Pryor, Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett.
Dwan Mathis, a 4-star prospect, is the No. 251-ranked player in the class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite.
Terence Mathis said the entire family made the trip to Columbus on Friday and Dwan had a chance to spend a lot of time with Dwayne Haskins, another dual-threat quarterback slated to start this fall for the Buckeyes.
