EAST LANSING – RJ Williamson and Montae Nicholson worked all August to build chemistry for their partnership at the back end of Michigan State’s defense, and now they may never play together again.
A torn bicep and Sunday surgery for Williamson is the latest bad news for No. 4 MSU – and for Williamson, who earned his degree in August, has a 6-month-old daughter and NFL hopes, and was having his best season. Mark Dantonio said Williamson could be back as early as the regular-season finale against Penn State, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be ready to jump in and make a difference.
