Michigan State returned home from the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland early on Monday morning. The Spartans finished with a 2-1 record with wins against Oregon and Portland, and a loss against No. 11 Alabama.
“I was pleased with a lot of things,” head coach Tom Izzo said. “When you lose a 10-point lead in a minute, it’s hard to feel good about that.”
The Spartans had a 12-point lead on Sunday against Portland with just under four minutes to play. The Pilots ended the game on a 13-2 run.
