• For the first time in school history, Michigan State will play host to a service academy as the No. 4/4 Spartans (2-0) take on Air Force (2-0) in Spartan Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19 at noon. The game will be televised nationally on ABC. MSU moved up to No. 4 in both The Associated Press and Amway Coaches Polls following its 31-28 victory over then-No. 7/5 Oregon last Saturday, while the Falcons also improved to 2-0 with their 37-16 win over San Jose State. The Spartans received two first-place votes in this week’s AP Poll.
