No. 16 Michigan State trounces Oakland 72-49 before 18,145 spectators at LCA

Detroit – Michigan State continued its dominance over Oakland on Saturday, putting together a big run in the first half then pulling away in the second to earn a 72-49 victory at Little Caesars Arena.

It was the 18th straight win for the Spartans in their series with the Golden Grizzlies as Michigan State (7-3) remained perfect against Oakland.

Aaron Henry scored 10 points to lead the Spartans in front of a nearly full house of 18,145. Senior guard Cassius Winston was limited to nine points on 3-for-13 shooting, including 1-for-9 from 3-point range. Junior Xavier Tillman added nine points and 13 rebounds or the Spartans, who return to Big Ten play on Wednesday at Northwestern.
