East Lansing — Michigan State is in a different position than it was at this time last season, even a few days ago, for that matter.
It’s what happens when you become the No. 1 team in the nation, something that hasn’t happened for the Spartans since December 2013. As if teams didn’t come gunning for them before, they’ll really be taking aim at the top team in the nation.
That makes Wednesday’s matchup against Maryland-Eastern Shore all the more intriguing. Getting up for games against Kansas a couple weeks ago or Florida on Saturday are fairly simple.
