NFL draft analyst: Michigan State's Josiah Scott a Day 1 starter; doesn't love Kenny Willekes

Josiah Scott’s past two years have ended in high-risk decisions.

The Michigan State football cornerback decided to bypass a chance to redshirt after a preseason knee injury cost him the first eight games of 2018. Scott’s choice to play in a fifth game ended with him winning the Redbox Bowl defensive MVP award.

Then days after the Spartans’ victory over Wake Forest, the third-year junior opted to forego his final season of eligibility. He entered his name in the draft and got an invitation to the NFL combine in February to prove himself to scouts and team executives.
