Leave it to the NCAA to bring our fractured political system together. The body that governs college athletes has shown such greed and hypocrisy that red states, blue states and purple states are joining forces to kneecap it.

Last month, California enacted its Fair Pay to Play Act, which allows NCAA student-athletes to earn money off their name, brand and likeness, undermining the NCAA's archaic rule that says athletes can't. In the month since, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have pushed for similar laws in at least a dozen other states.
