Nebraska had five touchdowns and a field goal in the first half of last week's 54-35 win against Illinois.
First-year coach Scott Frost called the performance "kind of a thing of beauty on offense" while lauding his team's execution. However, that came against one of the worst defenses in the nation and Frost knows the challenge will be much greater when Nebraska (3-7, 2-5 Big Ten) hosts Michigan State (6-4, 4-3) on Saturday.
"This is close to or as good a defense as we've faced all year," Frost said Monday. "I've only watched them for one day but, man, I've got a ton of respect for what they do.
