LINCOLN, Neb. - On a windy, frigid day, with flurries flying on the Great Plains, Michigan State once against asked its defense to win a game.
Once again, it wasn't enough.
Nebraska (4-7, 3-5 Big Ten) rallied from a 6-0 deficit in the fourth quarter with a trio of field goals for a 9-6 win against Michigan State (6-5, 4-4) on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
Michigan State made a change at quarterback as Rocky Lombardi replaced an injured Brian Lewerke to make his second career start and first on the road. That didn't lead to a spark on offense as the Spartans were held without a touchdown for the second straight week and dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season.
