The 332 victims of Larry Nassar who have filed lawsuits so far could each get between $250,000 and $2.5 million from the $500 million settlement with Michigan State University announced today, said one attorney involved in the case.
"A rough range is $250,000 to $2.5 million, somewhere around that," said David Mittleman, a lawyer with ChurchWyble/Grewal Law, an Okemos firm that represents 111 Nassar victims.
The settlement is the largest ever for a university for a sexual-assault case, dwarfing the $109 million paid by Penn State University to at least 33 victims in the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
