Women accusing a former Michigan State University sports doctor of sexual abuse are once again challenging a gag order issued by an Ingham County judge that prohibits the women from publicly talking about the case.
The women's attorneys filed a motion this week asking U.S. District Judge Janet Neff to throw out the gag order issued April 14 by Ingham County Circuit Judge Rosemarie Aquilina.
At issue are the high-profile allegations against Dr. Larry Nassar, former team doctor for U.S. gymnasts at four Olympic games. More than 100 women treated by Nassar through USA Gymnastics or MSU's sports-medicine clinic say they were sexually abused under the guise of medical treatment.
