EAST LANSING - Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio angrily denied any allegations that he improperly handled a sexual assault complaint made against one of his players.
"I'm here tonight to say that any accusations of my handling of any complaints of sexual assault individually are completely false," Dantonio said during an impromptu news conference on Friday night. "Every incident reported in that article was documented by either police or the Michigan State Title IX office. I've always worked with the proper authorities when dealing with cases of sexual assault."
Dantonio spoke in response to an ESPN report published earlier in the day that claimed he had personally handled a claim made against one of his players.
