East Lansing — Michigan State sophomore forward Marvin Clark Jr. will miss 6-8 weeks after suffering a left foot injury, the school announced on Tuesday.
It did not offer any specifics on the injury.
Clark (6-foot-6, 225) appeared in all 39 of Michigan State’s games as a freshman, starting seven, and averaged 4.5 points and 2.2 rebounds. He was expected to compete for the starting power forward position this season for the Spartans, along with freshman Deyonta Davis.
Michigan State, coming off its seventh Final Four appearance in Tom Izzo’s 20 seasons as head coach, begins practice on Oct.
