East Lansing – Michigan State football player Auston Robertson has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, the Ingham County Prosecutor announced on Friday.
The chargers stem from an incident in Meridian Township on April 9 and is separate from a current sexual assault investigation that involves three players and an alleged incident that occurred on campus in January.
The 19-year-old Robertson played in seven games as a true freshman in 2016 at defensive end and played extensively in the spring game on April 1.
Robertson was suspended from the team immediately after the incident was reported to the MSU program, coach Mark Dantonio said last week in a statement.
