Lansing State Journal

The Michigan State women's golf team keeps reaching new heights under coach Stacey Slobodnik-Stoll. Add the program's first NCAA regional championship to the list.

MSU, which built a huge 11-shot lead on the field in Monday's first round, held on over the final two rounds to take first place Wednesday at the NCAA Palm Beach Gardens Regional in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Spartans had three players finish in the top 15 to finish at 8-over par, three strokes ahead of second-place Duke.

Northwestern tied for third with Texas at 14-over par and LSU took fifth at 15-over.
