The Michigan State Spartans had four players hit double figures in yesterday’s win over the 10th-seeded Penn State Nittany Lions as the MSU women advanced after a 75-66 win in round two. The Spartans opened a two-game win streak with the victory and moved to 14-7 on the season overall.
The Lady Lions opened up the game on a tear with three-straight makes from deep to jump out to a 9-5 lead over MSU. Overall, Penn State shot 45 percent in the first quarter and led 24-18 at the end of the first 10 minutes.
