Having Tyler O’Connor throw the ball nearly 40 times in Saturday’s loss to Wisconsin wasn’t the original plan of attack. Co-offensive coordinator Dave Warner said it was a necessary change to try and come back in an eventual 30-6 loss.
“Our run game was not good, but I don’t think it was bad, either,” Warner said this week. “I think our guys ran hard, I think we blocked well. Obviously, there were missed assignments and guys beating blocks and stuff like that. But we need to get better at it, and that’s certainly what we’re working on this week.
