Michigan State interim president John Engler says he would put the integrity of Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo against any other coaches in the country.
Speaking at a Thursday morning event sponsored by the Detroit Free Press, Engler defended his school's two high-profile coaches, who have both faced questions about how they've handled sexual assault allegations made against members of their teams.
"I think in Dantonio and Izzo you've got two coaches with great personal integrity who run very clean programs," Engler said.
The remarks come three months after ESPN published a report about the handling of multiple sexual assault claims by Michigan State's two longtime coaches.
