MSU Police send football sexual assault case back to prosecutor's office

EAST LANSING -- The investigation into a sexual assault claim made against three Michigan State football players is back in the hands of the Ingham County Prosecutor.

The Michigan State University Police department has turned over follow-up reports in the case to the prosecutor's office, prosecutor Carol Siemon announced on Tuesday morning. Those reports are being reviewed by Siemon and assistant prosecutors, according to the announcement.

No timeline is given for the charging decision, but according to the announcement, the prosecutor "will provide notice upon further developments in their review."

The MSUPD previously requested four arrest warrants on Feb.
