EAST LANSING – Michigan State coaches may wish they had a fifth-year senior receiver named Felton Davis in 2019, just as they’d love to have Aaron Burbridge and Macgarrett Kings Jr. back next season as fifth-year guys.
But it looks like Davis will be going the four-year route of MSU’s current starting wideouts — seniors Burbridge and Kings, and junior R.J. Shelton — and play right away as a freshman. That’s mostly with 2016 in mind, when Burbridge, Kings, DeAnthony Arnett and AJ Troup are gone and the only returning wideouts with any experience will be Shelton and seldom-used Monty Madaris.
